Connect your own tools

SecBot's data doesn't have to stay inside SecBot. Through SecBot's MCP server, the agent tools and apps you already use can pull filings, insider trades, fund holdings, signals and more, and answer your questions with live SecBot data. You'll find the details at secbot.trade/agents, listed as MCP Server in the app menu.

The MCP Server pageEverything you need to connect your own tools to SecBot.

What you need

  • An active SecBot subscription. Access is included; there's no separate plan.
  • The endpoint: https://secbot.trade/mcp
  • An API key, created under Account → API Keys. You can have up to 3 active keys.

Setup

  1. Create a key in the API Keys tab.
  2. Add it to your client as Authorization: Bearer <your key>.
  3. Use the MCP Setup tab on the Account page for copy-paste instructions. It covers Claude Code, Claude Desktop and claude.ai connectors, ChatGPT (developer mode required), Cursor, and Windsurf or other clients.

Connectors in some apps sign you in through SecBot instead of using a pasted key.

WARNING

Treat API keys like passwords. get_watchlist_feed and get_alerts read your own watchlist and alerts, so anyone holding your key can see them. If a key leaks, revoke it from the API Keys tab.

Limits

  • 1,000 queries per month.
  • 30 requests per minute.
  • A daily cap on data rows returned.

Your usage is shown on the Account page Usage tab.

Things to ask

Swap in the ticker you care about:

  • "Give me the bull and bear case for TICKER."
  • "Which funds added to TICKER last quarter?"
  • "Show insider buying over $1M this month."
  • "How have SecBot's past calls on TICKER played out?"
