Tiers & conviction

Two more ideas show up across the platform. They're simple, and knowing them helps you read the Daily Analysis and the Signals views correctly.

Tiers

Events and their reports are sorted into tiers by significance. Think of tiers as priority bands: the top tier holds the events most likely to matter, and lower tiers hold the routine flow. Tiering is why the feed surfaces the important things first instead of showing everything in flat chronological order.

When you raise the Impact slider or sort by score, you're effectively asking for the higher tiers only.

Conviction

Conviction is how strongly SecBot stands behind a call. A clear, well-supported read carries high conviction. An early or ambiguous signal carries lower conviction, even if it could be important.

You'll see conviction most clearly in two places:

  • Daily Analysis flags its "stocks to watch" with a conviction level and key price levels, so you know which ideas it's leaning into.
  • Today's Edge ranks the day's events by a calibrated estimate of their expected effect, which is conviction applied across the whole board.

High conviction is not a guarantee. It's a statement of confidence in the read, and the track record behind those reads is published in Report Analytics so you can judge how much weight to give it.

How to use both

Use tier to decide what to look at, and conviction to decide how hard to lean. A top-tier event with high conviction is the strongest combination on the platform. A top-tier event with low conviction is a heads-up to do your own work before acting.
