Insider Tracker
Insider Tracker gathers every open-market insider buy and sell into one sortable table. Insiders sell for plenty of reasons, but an open-market buy means they put their own money in. This is where you find those trades and see what the stock did afterwards.
Open-market insider buys and sells with what the stock did next.
What counts
Only open-market Form 4 trades: code P for buys and code S for sells. Data comes from SEC Form 4 filings, picked up within seconds of hitting EDGAR. The header shows ● UPDATED {x ago} and a Refresh button.
Buys and sells
Switch between the Insider Buys and Insider Sells tabs; each shows its count. The stat cards follow the tab:
- Buy/Sell filings · {window}
- Total purchased / Total sold
- Avg paper gain / Avg move since sale
- Top accumulator / Largest seller (by dollar value)
The Top accumulated and Top sold panels have their own 7D / 30D / 90D / 6M toggle.
Two views
- All Transactions: Date, Company, Insider, Shares @ price, Value, Δ Pos, and Paper P/L or Since sale.
- Aggregated: grouped by insider × company, with Insider, Company, Buys/Sells, Period, Avg price, Total value and P/L.
Click any column to sort. Page size is 10, 25, 50 or 100 (default 25).
Filters
- Ticker or company… and Insider name… search boxes
- Role pills: All, CEO, CFO, COO, President, Director, 10% Owner, Officer, Other
- Size: Any size, ≥$100K, ≥$500K, ≥$1M, ≥$5M
- Range: Last 7D / 30D / 90D / 6M (default 6M) or custom dates, up to 2 years for subscribers. Windows over about 6 months need a subscription.
- Clear resets everything.
TIP
Filter to CEO or CFO buys at ≥$500K, then switch to Aggregated. A top executive buying repeatedly with real size is a stronger read than one small purchase.
Definitions
- Paper P/L: the return from the insider's price to the current price.
- Since sale: the stock's move since a sale.
- Δ Pos: shares traded ÷ holdings before the trade. It's blank for a brand-new position.
- Amended or duplicate filings of the same trade collapse to one row, and the latest amendment wins. Direct and indirect holdings stay separate.
- Obvious data errors are dropped: prices wildly off the market, trade values larger than the company's market cap, and implausible returns.
Access
The page body is blurred for non-subscribers, and rows less than 24 hours old hide price, shares, value and returns. Subscribers see them in real time. See Plans & access.
