Daily Gap
A daily gap is when a stock opens entirely outside the prior trading day's range, a clean break above the previous high or below the previous low. This view lists the day's gaps so you can see at a glance what moved overnight.
Stocks that opened outside the prior day's range.
What counts as a gap
The test is strict: the whole opening range sits above yesterday's high (a gap up) or below yesterday's low (a gap down). A stock that merely opens higher within the prior range doesn't qualify. That cleanliness is the point, because a true gap usually means real news hit while the market was closed.
What the view shows
Each row gives the ticker, the direction and size of the gap, and the price at the open. Gaps up and gaps down are easy to separate, so you can scan for breakouts or breakdowns depending on what you're after.
Using it
Gaps cut both ways. Some run for the rest of the session; others fill as the move fades and the price drifts back into the prior range. The size of the gap and what caused it matter more than the gap itself. Pair a name here with its event flow to find out why it moved, then decide whether you're trading the continuation or the fade.
