The daily brief
Daily Analysis is the briefing that pulls the whole board together twice a day. A pre-market note publishes at 07:30 ET and a post-close note at 16:30 ET, every US trading day, so you start the session with a plan and end it knowing what changed.
The pre-market brief, opened from the top nav.
What's inside
Each brief reads top-down, from the big picture to the names you can trade:
- A market-regime read — risk-on, risk-off, or something in between.
- A market snapshot of where the major indexes and futures sit.
- The key themes driving the tape that day.
- Sector breadth — what's leading and what's lagging.
- Where institutional money is rotating, tracked through ETF flows.
- Technical levels worth watching on the indexes.
- Cross-market commentary on rates, currencies, and commodities.
- Upcoming catalysts on the calendar.
- A stocks to watch list, each name tagged with a conviction level and key price levels.
How to use it
Read the pre-market brief before you do anything else. The regime read tells you how aggressive to be. The themes tell you which groups have the wind behind them. By the time you reach the stocks-to-watch list, you already have the context to judge each name.
TIP
The conviction tag on each watch-list name tells you how hard the brief is leaning into the idea. Pair it with the price levels: a high-conviction name that's also sitting at a clean level is the cleanest setup the brief offers. See Tiers & conviction.
The post-close brief is your review. It marks what played out, what didn't, and what's setting up for tomorrow. Read it the same evening while the day is still fresh, and you'll walk into the next open already ahead.
Earnings season changes the rhythm. When a name on your list reports, the earnings workflow shows how to act on the print.
