Impact, sentiment & score

Three labels do most of the work of sorting signal from noise: the impact score, the sentiment, and how they combine. Learn these and the feed gets much faster to read.

Impact score (1–10)

Every event gets a score from 1 to 10 for how much it's likely to matter to the stock. A routine administrative filing scores low. A surprise earnings miss, a large insider buy, or a failed trial scores high.

The score shows as a small bar meter on each card. You can also filter the whole feed by it: drag the Impact slider up to hide the small stuff and keep only events above the level you choose. Most traders run the feed with impact set fairly high during busy sessions and lower it when they want the full picture.

A high score is a prompt to look, not an instruction to trade. It means "this is worth your attention right now."

Sentiment

Sentiment is the directional read on the event:

  • Bullish — the event leans positive for the stock.
  • Bearish — it leans negative.
  • Neutral — informative but not clearly directional.
  • Mixed — there are both positive and negative angles, common on events like an upgrade that still implies downside to a price target.

Use the Bullish / Bearish / Neutral toggles above the feed to show only the read you're hunting for. Looking for downside setups? Show bearish only.

Putting them together

Impact tells you how much; sentiment tells you which way. The combinations you'll act on most:

  • High impact + clear sentiment — the events that can move a position. Read these first.
  • High impact + mixed — something important with two sides. Worth the full report before you decide.
  • Low impact — context and housekeeping. Good for building a picture, rarely a trade on its own.

Where the score comes from

Scores reflect the type of event, its size, how surprising it is versus what was expected, and the company's context. They're applied consistently across the feed so a 7 on one stock means roughly the same as a 7 on another. How the scores actually perform over time is tracked openly in Report Analytics.
